KDG Construction Consulting is seeking a Senior Scheduler to provide project management support services on public works and capital projects. This position is responsible for the analysis and review of construction schedules, baseline updates, and Time Impact Analysis (TIA) reports. The Senior Scheduler acts as a technical expert within the project management team, ensuring schedule certainty and providing detailed reporting to help management keep projects on track. This role requires a professional capable of taking initiative to seek solutions with minimum or conflicting guidelines within a high-pressure, cohesive team environment.
Position Summary:
The Senior Scheduler is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with managing the scope, cost, schedule, and operational interfaces of all design and construction-related activities. This role requires a professional with a solid understanding of project delivery and the ability to establish lasting communication with diverse stakeholders. The Senior Scheduler will support the project team through the entire project life cycle—from concept and project definition to pre-construction, implementation, commissioning, and closeout—ensuring that all work meets required quality standards. The Senior Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring project compliance, organized record-keeping, and the efficient flow of information between all project stakeholders within a fast-paced construction management environment. This is a hybrid position, offering a balance of remote work flexibility and scheduled in-office collaboration to ensure seamless integration with the project team.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Analysis & Technical Support:
• Responsible for analysis and review of construction schedules (baseline/updates) and Time Impact Analysis (TIA) reports.
• Prepare the master and detailed time schedules; maintain simplified logic schedules to highlight status of key interfaces for critical path review.
• Utilize Critical Path Method (CPM) and milestones plan for monitoring deliverables, identifying critical paths, near-critical paths, milestone impacts, and phasing shifts.
• Evaluate requests for time extensions; perform windows analyses and prepare write-ups with executive recommendations for action.
• Review design and/or construction schedules and provide written comments; coordinates schedule comments and corrections with the Contractor.
Project Monitoring & Reporting:
• Monitor project progress against a determined baseline; identify potential trends, schedule variances, and opportunities to develop mitigation plans.
• Input resources, costs, project budget, and performance percent complete for EVM reports, resource assignments, and leveling.
• Prepare cash flow and dedicated charts, progress meeting schedules, and daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Develop creative reporting tools and prepare detailed plans and time-scaled charts and diagrams for executive review and presentation.
• Advise senior project management team of schedule performance issues and promptly report schedule interruptions or other variances.
Administrative & Team Coordination:
• Draft and edit status reports, meeting minutes, memos, and letters to keep management informed on project progress.
• Maintain time and cost control for all sub-contracts, sub-suppliers, and stakeholders for the prime contract.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in evolving procedures and work under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
• Work effectively in a cohesive team environment, ensuring all work is performed and inspected according to plans and specifications.
Qualifications
Required:
• 15+ years of experience working in the construction project management field.
• Proven experience working with capital and public works projects.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office software (Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint).
• Deep expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM), Time Impact Analysis (TIA), and Windows Analysis.
• Experience in drafting and editing status reports, meeting minutes, memos, and letters.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with a positive attitude and excellence in customer service.
• Ability to be proactive in taking initiatives to seek solutions with minimum, vague, and/or conflicting guidelines.

Anticipated Salary Range: $146,000.00 – $159,000.00 per year
