In-house Recruiter

KDG Construction Consulting is seeking a proactive and collaborative Recruiter with three to five years of experience in full life-cycle recruitment and talent management within the AEC or technical staffing industry to work as part of our in-house recruitment team. The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing talent for construction management, project management and engineering roles. The Recruiter will partner with in-house hiring managers and clients to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of several requisitions,

The Recruiter will be responsible for proactively sourcing and screening potential candidates for active and potential technical job openings, managing online job postings, and maintaining a pipeline of talented technical professionals, including: engineers, project managers, construction managers, project controls staff and support staff. The Recruiter will report directly to our Director of Human Resources/Talent Management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in full-scale internal recruitment for the firm servicing several staff augmentation and dedicated project team contracts for aviation, utility and transportation clients. , including developing job descriptions, posting, screening, interview coordination and identifying new recruitment tools and resources for hard-to-fill positions.
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date files and records for all candidates and the status of each vacant position.
  • Collaborate with talent management team and internal/external hiring managers in sourcing and identifying potential qualified candidates for immediate need opportunities, as well as proposal efforts and prospective future needs.
  • Research open positions to develop a keen understanding of position requirements in order to source the most talented candidates. Collaborates with Talent Management team and hiring managers in defining position responsibilities and identifying potential qualified candidates.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout screening and selection. 
  • Work within Applicant Tracking System (Jazz) to track recruiting activities, post open positions, and update candidate profiles, resumes and contact information
  • Perform other duties, as directed.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of full life cycle recruitment experience in a professional services environment, with an emphasis on proactive sourcing for “difficult to fill” disciplines (specialized engineering, project management) required. 
  • 2+ years of experience in technical recruiting with an emphasis on sourcing for A/E/C roles.
  • 4-year degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or Human Resources (or equivalent). 
  • Proven track record of quickly being able to build relationships and establish trust with a variety of personalities at varying professional levels.
  • Existing, established network of A/E/C professionals ideal.
  • Varied experience in developing strategies for sourcing, building pipelines and managing a high volume of candidates.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems.
  • Self-motivation, strong time management, collaboration and organization skills.
